Sandur Education Center provides excellent education in a safe, disciplined, and green environment. The institution was founded by the distinguished educationist Dr. M. Y. Ghorpade, with the vision of delivering quality education to rural and urban students alike.
Sandur Education Centre School is an English medium institution following the ICSE syllabus, offering education from Standards 1 to 10. The school is located on NH63, at the foothills of Joladarashi Gudda, Rayarakere, surrounded by a lush green valley environment at Jambunathanahalli, Hosapete.
The school is managed by the Shivapur Shikshana Samiti under the able guidance of its President Smt. Y. S. Ghorpade and Director Shri Bahirji A. Ghorpade. It is sponsored and supported by The Sandur Manganese and Iron Ores Limited (SMIORE), a company renowned for its significant contributions to education.
Sandur Education Center has achieved 100% academic results for the last thirty-five years, with nearly 60% of students securing merit-based admissions into medical and engineering courses.
The institution also emphasizes sports and physical development. A 20-acre sports campus accommodates games such as volleyball, throwball, kho-kho, basketball, and indoor games including table tennis, shuttle badminton, carrom, and chess. The school proudly represented Karnataka State at the national-level kho-kho tournaments held in New Delhi in 2019 and 2022.
